i believe these are the 2 oldest surviving online reviews of #gratefuldead shows, scene reports from the warfield theater, september 1980, by stanford AI researchers paul martin & dave wilkins, pictured here on spring tour '74, a year after the launch of the dead.dis email list. preserved on this SAIL backup: https://www.saildart.org/ #deadfreaksunite

@Tusky is there a place to get tech support for the tusky app anywhere? would love to use it on android but won't let me login despite having correct password & cookies turned on (as instructed).
@theheatwarps the former! hope to migrate yonder soon.
The sounds of a dying Twitter. The streaming API still works and I’m sonifying tweets using the #MakeNoise 0-coast and Strega. Tweet lengths determine pitch (longer text = lower note) and other parameters are mapped to velocity/duration. Sounds best with headphones! #MastoMusic #modularsynths #RIPTwitter
is there a way to block surveys out of my feed entirely? never doable on the other site, but trying to find peace in the valley & this particular valley seems more flexible.
@quadbasspickup @ll_rain @rowjimmy fun! nothing that fits the exact bill of which i'm aware. elkhorn made an album a few years ago with 6 versions of "fish," pretty improv-y. they've never put them all on an official album but yo la tengo has a few songs with enough different arrangements to do so, ala this "big day coming" mix. https://doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/22594311245/i-can-hardly-wait-yo-la-tengo-best-band-ever

I Can Hardly Wait Yo La Tengo! Best band ever, right? Seriously. In some ways, it seems like YLT has been so good for so long that they're taken for granted. But the Hoboken band's legacy will be...

@Neddyo the only photo i was able to take of fennesz was by zooming in on the phone screen of someone taller & a ways in front of me. that show would've been better with beanbags for several reasons!
posted in the sweet spot between the rear surround speakers at public records & watched with my ears (& grooved with the disco ball) for sparkling 12-string by eli winter (with david grubbs on harmonium for the closer) & elemental set by fennesz, loops & oceanic drones & distant gamelan.
