@ai6yr I have had this argument with too many runners, cyclists and other outdoor athletes.

Me: air quality is terrible today. Wildfire smoke is full of particulate. Better curtail strenuous activities.
Them: Yeah, but I'm an athlete, therefore not high risk.
Me: strenuous activities draw particulate deep into the lungs, especially if you are breathing through your mouth. In this case, athletes ARE high risk individuals.
Them: Can't hear you, lalalalalla.
