I just finished this and for past 60 minutes I've been struggling with the decision whether to publish or not. I’m not trying to convince anyone to build their websites differently, I just want to share my view and my experiences as someone who has been building websites for over 20 years, and I try to summarize reasons why some developers, including me, are wary of building SPAs.

It seems New Relic will soon stop using an unload event listener. This prevented pages to benefit from the ultra-fast back/forward cache.

They shipped an experimental setting last month: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/release-notes/new-relic-browser-release-notes/browser-agent-release-notes/browser-agent-v1222/

And they're about to make it the default: https://github.com/newrelic/newrelic-browser-agent/pull/401

Ok my #webperf friends. Ever get frustrated that the DevTools Performance Panel didn’t do a clean load when recording a reload trace and so was really difficult to figure out? Well update to Chrome 110 and that is fixed thanks to @jackf
