I recently rebuilt my #Linux #gaming rig to be full #AMD and for the most part I am absolutely loving it. Not having to worry about an update just breaking my graphics is so so nice, and the gaming support for it is also really nice (specifically shader-cache time on steam went way down).
But man is #Blender support frustratingly bad... Using the HIP renderer for cycles works for the most part, but will almost always crash blender at some point. That plus numerous issues with #greasepencil lagging and crashing when working with strokes, or antialiasing being severely broken.
It's so bad that for my last render I did, I needed to render the animation on my laptop that uses Intel Integrated Graphics 😠It makes me miss my CUDA cores lol.
