This mountain sits just outside of the townsite and creates one of the famous back drops for the small town. Really privileged to have grown up in this area.

🌟 Mountains Starter Pack 🌟
As there is no algorithm, whenever people register on the Fediverse, their timeline is empty. With social media this is uncommon and therefore somewhat confusing to newcomers.
@anze3db has created a site 🙏 , where people can create Starter Packs. These are typically theme-based and gives a head-start at finding content.
Today I have created the "Mountains Starter Pack" with interesting accounts on the topic of mountains, hiking and the like (by no means this should be considered a complete list).
In case you have accounts that are relevant and you would like them on the list, just let me know and I will add them when they fit. In case you are on the list and you would like to be removed, first of all I'm sorry, and secondly of course I will remove you.

Here's one of my most memorable camp spots. This was along the Sierra High Route, and that's Mt. Ritter and Banner Peak with Southeast Glacier in between, as seen from Lake Catherine. Setting up the MLD Trailstar tarp with all of those rocks was no easy task but the beauty outweighed the hassle!
Just arrived at Cusco to do the Ausungate Trek in a couple of days. Good trip to test my new gps. A tip: start dehydrating food ahead of time lol, it was a busy week.
