It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The CTA has announced this year’s holiday train and bus schedule.

The Allstate CTA Holiday Fleet is now in its 33rd year of operation. The brightly decorated train and bus will be carrying Santa and elves throughout the city, starting the week of Thanksgiving through late December.

Work was recently finished along Berwyn Avenue — the main road connecting the two trails — between the Lakefront Trail and North Clark Street. The rest of the project will finish in 2025.

Four people were shot and killed early Labor Day on a CTA westbound Blue Line train to Forest Park, and a suspect is in custody, authorities confirmed.

Authorities said the shooting happened on two different train cars.
