@film_girl That stinks. I have yet to hear anyone who has had a good experience with this program. Apparently it is especially bad if you have a computer with multiple users who are signed in with AppleIDs too. Also doesn’t seem to work for families.

It’s mind boggling that the very apparent shortfalls have not been addressed or promoted warnings that specific circumstances are not covered. @siracusa has a whole story too!

@pxlnv Bring back that Catalina view!
@SwampYankee @marcoarment I agree with you. In my experience it seems that the common theme of Liquid Glass is that it takes more clicks to do things on every platform. As a bonus, it makes things difficult to read.
@molly0xfff It does seem far away. In MA I refer to March as Fool’s Spring/Second Winter when it’s still cold but the winds pick up. The higher sun angle tricks me into thinking it should be spring but it still feels cold. Something like this
@tuomas_h @caseyliss @9to5Mac At the end of the day I think it all comes down to subscription money and data. They want me to pay twice for maps, music, and cellular data and want to know everything I’m listening to and where I’m going. Also, Rivian can’t handle texting from the infotainment even though they announced a complicated (and pricey!) new AI service that allows you text.

@rmondello I haven’t flown in it myself but I have heard good things about it being a more restful experience at a lower cost than business class. I generally really like the reviews from The Points Guy

Here's whether Air New Zealand's Skycouch was worth it - The Points Guy

What if an economy airline row could transform into a couch with pillows and a blanket? The Air New Zealand Skycouch does just that and here's what it is like.

@caseyliss Also, as of this moment in time Rivian does not offer text support. According to the interview it is coming and will some how be something amazing (whatever that means)
@caseyliss My hot take is that it’s not offered so they can get ongoing subscription revenue from customers. You need a subscription to use Apple Music natively in a Rivian. That in addition to your mobile phone subscription and Apple Music subscription. Judging by Reddit comments, the integration is not great. I’d gladly pay $5-10 a month for a CarPlay subscription
@paul I see the same thing. I thought there was an issue with monitor at first
@siracusa They managed to both finally make the app we have been asking for while also making sure that I don’t want to download it or use it 🤦🏼‍♂️
