How long before our AI overlords rise up?
@ahribellah the same thing happened when my friends quit playing Destiny. I missed it for a long time (and still miss the squad) but after a while, I realized how much Stockholm Syndrome I had from playing. FOMO is real, and it's toxic. It'll make you do things you hate, just to not lag behind, or miss out on cool stuff.
I'm likely going to fall down the same hole, but worse, when Diablo 4 launches, since I can play on my partner's Xbox. #Gamer4Lyfe
@ahribellah I've been forced to take a break from Overwatch, since my PS4 died. I was (and still am) disappointed I wouldn't get the Kiriko Mythic skin, after paying for the more expensive battle pass to help me reach the goal. I haven't been able to play any mainstream games in months (stuck playing android games on phone and chromebook) and I can honestly say, I think. I'm over overwatch. I'm honestly looking into selling my account.
@ryanhoulihan I seriously doubt any wealthy person could even begin to survive on poverty wages.
Kelley Blue Book states, and I quote, "The fuel filter is always located between the fuel tank and the engine."
Um.... I'd have never guessed that a fuel filter would be somehow involved in the fuel system between the fuel tank and the engine. Who'da guessed? Thank Njord for KBB and their top notch mechanic advice. What would I ever do without this knowledge? 🤣
So, I do most of my own car maintenance, partly because I'm poor and cannot afford a mechanic, but mostly because I'm poor and cannot afford a mechanic. Recently, my car has had an egg smell on the highway, or during rapid acceleration. Best I can tell, this is fuel related, and a quick, easy thing to try is to replace the fuel filter, and run injector cleaner. Well, there isn't a lot of info online as to exactly where the filter is on a 2011 Volvo S40, but one website had the perfect answer...
@Pathfinder it's interesting you mention vaping. I've actually quit smoking cigs with vaping. For like 2 years. The problem is, the only way I can use vaping to break the habit, I need the really monster vape rig. My vape setup was like $200, not counting replaceable stuff, like coils and juice.
When my vape broke, I was gonna need to dump around $150 to get back up and running, but I could buy a pack of Newport for $7. So, here I am. Vaping is cost prohibitive for me rn.
@Pathfinder That's the thing. I DO really want to. I've tried everything. I just don't know how to function without it. I always get moody and distant and go into full shutdown mode when I'm trying to quit. I always assumed it was withdrawal symptoms, but I'm starting to realize the shutdown is EXACTLY the same as when I go into autistic shutdown. And during my autistic shutdowns, I tend to smoke 2-3x more than normal.
(2/) stuff. I've been smoking cigarettes since I was 8 years old. I'm now 47. (I mentioned the other day I'm 46, but I forgot I turned 47. My partner reminded me.)
So, my question is, how does one replace a stim? Or break a stim?
I realize that it being a stim (and a strong one) for me, it makes it that much more difficult to stop smoking. Not only am I addicted to the nicotine and whatever else, I'm also addicted to the stimulation it provides.
I'd really like any advice anyone can provide me.

So, I've recently learned that I'm autistic. Part of this means I'm not hyperfixated on consuming autism related content. In part to learn everything there is to know about it (yeah right!) and in part to learn more about myself and all my weird quirks.
So, I've recently realized (tonight) that my smoking is very likely to be a form of stimming for me. It's sensory seeking that specific feeling. The smoke, the burn in the throat, and all that >>
