I’m really enjoying the “Sprinter” variety of bell pepper. It’s nice to have peppers that ripen here in the PNW.

#WordWeavers 2/11: Share a scene that gave you lots of joy to write
The ones that give me the most joy include some sort of payoff or reveal. It's why I'm chomping at the bit to get the latter parts of the story.
But right now I'm also in a place where I just enjoy writing anything with Alex and Kaiya, at any point during the story. Like this one.
Historically, my carrots have never done well. This year, for some reason, I ended up with big, beautiful carrots.
The problem is that I just kept dumping leftover seed packets from previous years in the carrot bed, so I have no idea what types grew well. 😅 Guess we’ll muddle through again next year.
It's that time of year again. Time to clean up my garden and start dreaming of next year. It's looking more and more like I'm going to have not 1 but 2 brand new garden areas next year. 😄
Projects for next year will include a new vertical strawberry planter (or 2), more garden beds near the asparagus and blueberries, and finally starting my cottage garden. Looking into more small fruit trees/bushes too.
Still have a few things left, but looks like just over 200lbs total this year!
The storage shed is about halfway done, which means that now I get to start designing my potting bench and daydreaming about the garden I'm putting in front of it. Going to do a combination of edibles and flowers, potentially with a small pond or water feature. The plan keeps growing!
What I WANT is a small pond with a dragon guarding it, possibly with a fountain. But I can't find any dragon statuary that isn't cutesy, tiny, or just overall not the right vibe for me.
Total produce picked today: 27lbs! 😍
My cherry tomatoes are doing great this year, my larger tomatoes not so much. Ah well, you win some, you lose some.
Kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk!

Alex: Growing up, Ian and I were inseparable. My parents took him in after his parents died, so he's been practically a brother to me. But I couldn't tell him I wanted to be a full mage. He thought I'd come back to help Dad run the caravan. They all did. Which is why I couldn't tell him. He would've told my parents, and they would have found a way to prevent me. Raz was the first person I told, and I don't know that Ian's ever really forgiven me for that.
