@yuvipanda Same principles -- just try to be safer where you know its necessary, e.g. I rode my ebike with more caution when I was on the path underneath BART.
My helmet had a little plastic visor on the front, and when I went head over handlebars once, that stupid visor gashed my forehead. If I had a regular bike helmet without the visor it would have been fine.
The only other safety issue I had was road rage from a regular bike rider who was very angry that I passed him going up Hearst.
