I'll demonstrate both good and bad practices, and share methods to overcome Power BI's visual constraints. Additionally, I'll delve into the realm of Vega, a visualization grammar that enables you to create extremely customized, high-quality visuals compatible with Power BI. I hope this content will be beneficial for everyone - from novices to seasoned Power BI developers. You might be an expert in data modeling and DAX, but users won't notice your flawless data model, nor appreciate your DAX code (they'll take it for granted that everything works smoothly). What they'll observe are charts that were either quickly drag & dropped into the report with default formatting settings, potentially misleading or failing entirely, or deliberately chosen to explain the data and assist in data exploration. It looks like it's not possible to use color gradient with a color schema, so there will be no gradients on the Sankey diagram, but it's not a critical issue.
