The Palestinian Water Authority announced that the occupation army destroyed the water desalination plant during its recent ground operations in the northern Gaza Strip.

It issued a statement that for the sixth consecutive day, its technical crews have been working on assessing the damage resulting from the Israeli aggression.

It also stressed that the damage to the desalination plants worsens the already dire water situation in Gaza.

At least 193 journalists have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its war on the Palestinian enclave in October 2023, including some who were deliberately targeted, according to a new report.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) found that in 2024 alone, 91 media workers, among them 23 female journalists, were killed, while 86 faced injuries, with many later dying due to a lack of access to medical treatment.
