I wanted a compact SIM card holder to take travelling with me. Found this model on #Printables that took ~20 mins to print and works perfectly.

The sleeve is printed in vase mode, which I love.

I'm downtown today for an in-person work meeting. I can't recommend Equator coffee in the NAC lobby enough, it's always super quiet in there and they have excellent breakfast sandwiches. This iced coffee really hit the spot too.

If your email address TLD has more than 4 characters, you can't sign into Public Mobile any more. They switched to "EverSafe", Telus' auth provider, a month ago.

I'm currently going back and forth with support over it. For which I had to create a second account to even access the community website.

Try it yourself! visit https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca and enter any TLD with 5 or more characters to see the error message.

Can someone help me with what the yellow lines between the stars are on this screenshot from my ISS tracking app? I'd assumed they were constellations but they're not the ones I recognize.

Look at the Big Dipper in the centre, it's supposed to be part of Ursa Major but that's not what's drawn here

I spent the morning designing and prototyping this glue stick cap/nozzle combo that allows you to apply glue more precisely. The aim is to replace expensive glue 'pens' used in English Paper Piecing (https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-to-english-paper-piecing-4588714)

From this prototype I've learned that a friction fit isn't strong enough to hold the cap on while dispensing glue. Furthermore, if you try to get around this by holding the cap down, the print fails before the glue comes out.

To remedy the first problem I'm going to try a glue stick with a screw-on cap. The second will require me to abandon the use of vase-mode for the print (boo!) so that I can make the walls thicker.

After carrying a toilet and 450kg of tiles inside yesterday my back is telling me that I should have paid the extra to have all this delivered down to the basement.
Two weeks ago I sliced part of my finger off while chopping vegetables in the mandoline. One trip to the ER and some skin glue later I was fine, but in an attempt to prevent future instances I bought this today 😅
