Mini game demo review!
The King is Watching
A resource management strategy game where your citizens only work while you're watching them is a good premise.
However. What this really means in practice is that your grid of carefully arranged buildings mostly does nothing as your gaze can only cover a small area of it. You watch as not a lot happens for a couple of minutes until the next wave of invaders arrives, at which point you find out whether you prepared adequately or not. It feels very binary.
Contrast this with other, more enjoyable games like Overcooked or Mini Metro that are also about focusing your attention appropriately. Rather than one thing happening while the rest of the game waits, EVERYTHING is begging for your attention constantly.
This pressure makes for a much more enjoyable experience and The King is Watching feels tedious by comparison.

A question for folks familiar with #SecureScuttlebutt :
How does joining a pub affect the visibility of my posts?
Let's say I have a friend that I follow on ssb already, and I want to sync with them over the internet. If we each join the same pub, do other members of that pub who don't follow me get to see my posts? Are there other variables at play here that I should be aware of? Thanks!
