@SomeGadgetGuy and the whole time I was watching I was thinking - OpenAI have an average latency of 320ms - the reality is - if I ask it to do something and have to wait 5-8 seconds for it to do it - I'll just do it myself.

I wonder if the keynote about to start will mention that Gemini will be upgraded to 2 billion tokens later in the year - because I don't think I have heard them mention that yet....

Also found it slightly concerning that various speakers were just throwing the word Generative in there willy nilly as if #GenerativeAI #GAI is a thing that exists now #GoogleIO2024 #GoogleIO
