I didn't manage to participate in the poll, however I do carry 100$+ as that is how much a taxi from city center, to where I live costs in the middle of the night. That way I am never stranded.

Twitter suspends Mastodon account, prevents sharing links

On Dec 16, Twitter suspended our @joinmastodon account after we shared a link to the newly registered Mastodon account of @ElonJet, an account that broadcasts public flight path data of Elon Musk’s private jet, which was previously suspended from Twitter itself. At the same time, accounts of multiple journalists from major publications such as CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, as well as various independent journalists, were likewise suspended for either linking to the account itself or talking about the event.

He monetized verification to earn money. Lost the trust of other corporations and advertisers, and thereby revenue. Effectively shooting himself in the foot.

He now tries to damage control people leaving, by stopping people from promoting alternatives. Losing the trust of the users, thereby causing people to leave faster. Effectively shooting himself in the foot.

I think Phony Stark, as you called him, may be running out of limbs to shoot himself in...

New Twitter policy bans links out to several social sites. Deeper into the actual policy, also bans on link aggregators. It’s stupid on its face, but it also kills what makes the site go. These people are so inept.

@parkermolloy The sad part about this, is that it was banned to stop people fleeing to competitors, yet many will flee due to banning these links.

@deviantollam I always found measure 114 to be quite a substandard solution. Even those that advocate for gun control must admit that limiting a magazine size is not gonna stop a monster from hurting people, it is only going to annoy the average gun owner.
