So my first full day with Linux Mint (Cinn-Wilma) installed and IT IS SO AMAZING on a very very slow connection to be able to:
1. stream radio
2. browse the Tubes of Inter
3. download those updates
ALL AT ONCE, on my teeny tiny bandwidth.
It's not perfect of course, but with Windows I'd have to stop using everything and only download updates, especially the large updates across multiple boxes and devices I have.

While I'm happy to keep writing and analyzing the news for free, I'm soliciting donations to help my elderly mother and my cancer-stricken stepfather stay housed. I'm doing okay myself, but because neither of them can work anymore and their pension doesn't cover the mortgage, I've been helping them out for a while now. They're short about $1,000 a month on the mortgage and medical supplies for my stepdad; anything you could spare to help me keep a roof over their heads during this difficult time would be most appreciated.

And if they then send you an obnoxious reply saying they will delete everything except the stuff they are required to keep by law, check out this article by actual lawyer @AugustB
