Hi, I'm a web designer-developer from India. I design and build websites that are fast, user-friendly and beautiful.

I saw yet another “CSS is a massively bloated mess” whine and I’m like. My dude. My brother in Chromium. It is trying as hard as it can to express the totality of visual presentation and layout design and typography and animation and digital interactivity and a few other things in a human-readable text format. It’s not bloated, it’s fantastically ambitious. Its reach is greater than most of us can hope to grasp. Put some *respect* on its *name*.
it’s important to keep caring about how things work and how they’re built
we should normalise this asap.

anchor positioning finally!

this will be one of the most important web features of this decade. use cases are everywhere and current techniques are full of complexity.

If you put the Apple icons in reverse it looks like the portfolio of someone getting really really good at icon design

CSS Day 2026, 11th & 12th of June, Amsterdam

CSS Day is the conference for CSS designers, developers, spec writers, and browser vendors.

I don't like patriotism; I think it's arbitrary to be proud of a country, and I think it's a pretty slippery funnel into nationalism. Flag-waving feels fascist to me.

But it turns out that politicians who preach real multiculturalism and inclusive care for the vulnerable do, in fact, make me feel patriotic. So maybe it's that I've rarely found anything to feel proud of.

I really liked @andyallen's talk from Config 2024 on how software designers can learn from game designers.

It reminded me of the Wheel by @argyleink, inspired by the arcade game Black Emperor. The game feel is so strong that I find myself scrolling up and down again and again just to play with it and experience that delightful bounce effect.

I’m really determined to change that, which is why I just bought Scott Riley’s course, Mindful Design. @piccalilli is running a Black Friday sale on all their courses, including Mindful Design, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

I’m a web designer-developer who has mostly designed and built marketing websites for small to medium-sized businesses. I started designing because my clients didn’t have a designer and expected me to handle everything. But I’ve always felt like an imposter. It’s not a nice feeling.
