@stroughtonsmith I’ve been thinking about using these as a way for existing subscribers to share/gift discounted prices with family and friends. It’s a link after all that can be presented to them that they can forward. Pocket Casts offers something similar for pro users.
5. iPad users get the NavigationSplitView interface for improved multitasking.
6. Search got smarter with local history, stronger map/list sync.
7. New and expanded Shortcuts/App Intents improve automation, including Get Weather.

And the latest update is approved for the App Store. Lots of changes this time around.

1. A full Task List system integrated with notes and locations.
2. New routing and travel time support helps users plan and navigate around saved places.
3. Historical Weather introduces daily and monthly averages
4. Interactive weather charts now support scrubbing across more forecast metrics.

@charliemchapman I’m getting ready to release an update for my app. I already have the screenshots done but I can still test it out for bugs and regressions.

This next update started as a way to add task lists.

I've now done that AND created a new icon, splash screen, added historical weather, interactivity to weather charts, added widgets, iPad navigation improvements, built-in routing and directions, note search, and lots of performance improvements.

It's time to wrap it up and get it out at least a month before WWDC.

@daniel Hideo Kojima is known for these shenanigans. But the scenes are so great.
@mattiem @_Davidsmith I see what you are saying. A narrative aka documentation is better at explaining the full context while leaving room for the craftiness I was referring to. Now I’m worried and hope these don’t replace the official documentation.
@mattiem @_Davidsmith Shouldn't these be considered the source of truth because they are coming from Apple themselves? The craftiness comes from the developer while compiler and system efficient code comes from Apple. Not arguing that Apple will always produce system efficient code but it's the closest thing to truth than anything else for Xcode work.
@kyle Every single person to had to change their way of doing things. I know of someone that lost their job who wanted to do the things the old way and not learn drawing plans using software. At the end of it all we're better off using CAD, as the designs are better, more efficient, and can be checked thoroughly. The jobs won't be the same, but I don't think they will be eliminated. Humans are good at improvising.
@kyle I'm a civil engineer in my day job so it's been fascinating to see the software industry from the "outside" in the past few years. The closest thing I can think of that has happened to my circle of work that's similar is introduction of CAD software. The more experienced/retired/close to retiring coworkers always mention the drafting tables that used to be present just not that long ago. Now everything is computer aided.
