5. iPad users get the NavigationSplitView interface for improved multitasking.
6. Search got smarter with local history, stronger map/list sync.
7. New and expanded Shortcuts/App Intents improve automation, including Get Weather.

And the latest update is approved for the App Store. Lots of changes this time around.

1. A full Task List system integrated with notes and locations.
2. New routing and travel time support helps users plan and navigate around saved places.
3. Historical Weather introduces daily and monthly averages
4. Interactive weather charts now support scrubbing across more forecast metrics.

This next update started as a way to add task lists.

I've now done that AND created a new icon, splash screen, added historical weather, interactivity to weather charts, added widgets, iPad navigation improvements, built-in routing and directions, note search, and lots of performance improvements.

It's time to wrap it up and get it out at least a month before WWDC.

As a reference, this is what it looks like without the adjustment..

Launch Screen set via info.plist is still buggy in iOS 26. This stack overflow answer is the only thing that finally fixed it. You have to set your svg width and height inside the file manually. I set it to width="390px" height="844px" and it finally worked.

Ok started working on another iteration.

Started tinkering with Affinity Designer and worked up a new icon for the app. Really encapsulates what the app offers. Even more so than before. This will accompany the new update with checklists and historical weather averages.

I haven't played arc raiders at all. Don't have the time or the patience to play extraction games but I'm watching enough YouTube content that their algorithm thinks I play it religiously. I even now follow two channels dedicated to it.

And the soundtrack has been amazing to listen to while coding. The main theme song is so good.

I don't think any other game has influenced my creativity like this without me even playing it.

Task list integration to location notes is coming along nicely.

Wasn't sure about putting the notes and task list in a segmented control but it makes sense than cluttering the location sheet.

There is no moat around language models, but there is a moat around agent harnesses.

Apple and Microsoft should be focused on building what no one else can, for now, which is a deeply-integrated agent harness for their operating systems. Use someone else’s frontier lab, accept that it’s costly and slow; get ready for the next five years where it’s running small, tailored, and on-device. I think this is one of those moments where you make product bets that the technology can’t pay off yet.
