@arstechnica watching the development of foldable screens on phones has just been a never ending tragic disappointment, every single one on the market is unreasonably fragile for a consumer product. I can get not being waterproof, but pocket lint or ending up next to a set of keys should not brick a phone when those are the facts of life for a cell phone.

which, in truth, seeing the next generation of "GODFORSAKEN NEWFANGLED TECHNOLOGY, THE OLD WAYS WERE BETTER" -- you know, the same sort of person who still uses Windows 7 (or god forbid XP) because they don't want to change -- I usually expect this sort of behavior out of crotchety old farts, not hipstery twentysomethings. It's quite funny to see.

@patrickworld I like using ublock's element picker and the developer console to just delete those overlays. Even if it can be incredibly tedious at times, it also gives me a deep smug satisfaction.
