I don’t know how they thought they could release the first episode of #Frieren
as a 2-hours package
I already cried three times and I’m only halfway through 🥺
So my first attempt at a "group"watch here wasn't the most successful, but hopefully this second try is (mainly by choosing a show people are familiar with).
Next week, I'll be starting a groupwatch of #GirlsLastTour. For the unfamiliar, Girls Last Tour is a 2017 sci-fi slice-of-life that follows two young women, Chito and Yuuri, as they navigate a post-apocalyptic landscape, some of the few people left alive. The series is equally funny, heartrending, and heartwarming, as it shows how lonely such a situation can be and how lucky it is to have someone right by your side.
Finally made the plunge on @EricaFriedman's book, By Your Side: The First 100 Years of Yuri Anime and Manga
Been trying to dive in to more non-fiction this year. So this will be the next one after I finish Changes: An Oral History of Tupac Shakur.
After all my many years on the internet, I have only just now discovered how to make animated gifs from video captures. (Turns out it's super easy with the right program!)
I knew right away what my first gifset had to be: my favorite part of the ending credits sequence from the second half of The Witch from Mercury, I just think it's a really powerful sequence, somehow.
(There are no spoilers in these images, by the way.)

@aquietjune I'll take the opportunity to link one of my favorite articles about Lambdadelta and Bernkastel and their different approach to reading, since it seems relevant

Warning: it contains a lot of spoilers for Umineko up to chapter 8.
Also, theorizing is fun, but there comes a point after which the excess of theories can only turn into deep disappointment (and worse).
