Moved my Home Assistant installation finally from a Raspberry Pi 4B to a small Intel box (J5005 CPU), since 32 bit ARM is not supported anymore. The main parts were already entirely using Docker, and after also moving other host-side remnants (SSH keys) or replacing them with HA-confined alternatives (the wallbox integration now has web API support instead of MQTT), it was pretty smooth. #homeassistant #hass #64bit
Why do so few fellow TeXnicians use \autoref{}? It’s so good! #TeXLaTeX #hyperref
Not sure I even have German followers here, but: Zusammen mit @bne86 habe in einem Podcast über #JUPITER berichtet: https://codeforthought.buzzsprout.com/1326658/episodes/18342781-de-jupiter-hpc-fur-die-wissenschaft-mit-a-herten-und-b-von-st-vieth

Finally, #JUPITER crossed the 1 ExaFLOP/s threshold today. The list is lying to you, though, it's not like it's 1000 PFLOP/s exactly, it's 1000.184 PFLOP/s; the rest got lost to rounding.
The 184 TFLOP/s are pretty much exactly the same as the previous #JSC supercomputer JUGENE from 2008. Incredible, that this gets lost in the margins only 17 years later.

Has anyone already determined the average coffee density at #SC25? Need to normalize to ICS* to align my coffee intake. #HPC**
*: International Coffee Standard
**: The C is for Coffee, of course
There a nonsensical performance metrics in computing – and then there’s “Gigawatts of Compute”. #HPC

Presenter

My #SC25 is quite busy again this year. When I'm not contributing (see below), visiting vendors, or staffing our @fzj_jsc booth, I try to see as many sessions as possible (why are there so many interesting talks? And all at the same time!).

Contributions:
- Sunday: Multi-GPU Tutorial
- Monday: WACCPD Workshop
- Tuesday: Gordon Bell Climate Prize Paper (not presenting)
- Wednesday: IXPUG BoF on Perf Portability
- Friday: HPCTESTS Workshop
- More, depending on things…

The good thing about generating tables and data in papers from machine-readable raw data is you can flexibly generate new stuff with different styles. The bad thing about generating tables and data from raw data is … options! So many!
(And complexity… revisiting the scripts for a paper revision has some overhead.)
