Support for Windows 10 ends on October 14, 2025. Microsoft wants you to buy a new computer. But what if you could make your current one fast and secure again?
Check out the End of 10 initiative to learn more! If you know anyone else who might find this useful, share it with them!
People read for voice. If you have no voice, you have no readers.
A key part of voice is that many of the word combinations and phrases you use are unique to you.
In other words, your sentences are statistically unlikely.
Generative AI such as ChatGPT produces statistically likely sentences.
Which means that generative AI is not useful for a working writer who wants to be read. #writing
Today is International Jazz Day.
I often find myself comparing jazz to open source.
Both feel free.
In jazz, musicians improvise, listen to each other, and build something beautiful together.
In open source, people from all over the world do something similar—with code, ideas, and small acts of contribution.
Happy Jazz Day to everyone creating freely—on stage or in the terminal.
Took a small step today.
Ever since switching to Ubuntu, I’ve grown more curious about the FOSS world but honestly, I didn’t know how to contribute at first.
That led me to Translatewiki. I’ve just signed up and made my first small contributions. It’s a tiny start, but being part of something bigger feels exciting.
If you have any kind of suggestion for further contributions, more than welcome!
