I'm actually going to to move forward with the upgrade to #Mastodon3 today. The process looks pretty straightforward and doesn't look too intrusive.

I'm going to do a little research and see if I can upgrade sangha.social to #mastodon3. I'll definitely give everyone a good heads up before I proceed.

Does anyone have experience teaching #meditation and/or #Buddhist principles to children? Or maybe some book recommendations? I've been thinking about introducing this stuff to my 5yo son and I'm not quite sure how to approach it.

Anyone want to be the emergency access administrator? You'll need to be proficient with Linux and Docker and just be generally comfortable with managing cloud infrastructure.

I've been super busy with work, family, and travel recently so I haven't been able to start actively promoting sangha.social. Before I do that, I want to make sure our server follows the Mastodon Server Covenant:

✅ Active moderation against racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia
✅ Daily backups
❓ At least one other person with emergency access to the server infrastructure
✅ Commitment to give users at least 3 months of advance warning in case of shutting down

The Art Institute also has some beautiful Japanese sculptures on permanent display as well.

One of the things I love about living in #Chicago is The Art Institute. They have a great selection of #Buddhist sculptures (among other fine examples of South and Southeast Asian religious art).
