Whoops they changed it back already. Maybe staff aren't fully committed assholes trying to drive away users they find undesirable. (Or they are, but not to the point they want to upset their advertisers.)
Going to join in a two day blackout from tumbr, starting tonight. So don't be alarmed if you see an increase in random philosophical ramblings and hot political takes here.
It's probably hard to explain what tumblr's new design is doing to non-tumblrinas, but it's awful. Reblogs are now divorced from their original post, meaning it's basically impossible to have an involved conversation, very hard to keep track of what is happening with your posts, and hopeless to get your art/comedic genius/etc discovered if you aren't already very popular. The site is 100% going to burn to the ground if they don't reverse it, and my feeling is they want it that way.
They went away for an hour, with 7/8ths of the road's width still covered in water, but now they're back with five machines. I wonder how it can be so hard to unplug some sewer drains. Could it be soil frost, making the water freeze once it enters the pipes? They're making a lot of steam down there, so some heating must be involved.
There's like ten workers and three loud industrial machines working on reducing a puddle of water on the street outside. It's nice the city bothers with the streets here in the outskirts but the amount of work they apparently have to put into managing the snow melt in my particular neighborhood makes me worried. This isn't even the first time this month.
Yeop. Thomas Midgley Junior invented leaded gasoline, then was instrumental in inventing freon, and ultimately invented a system of pulleys to assist himself after being disabled by polio where he ended up strangled to death. They should make movies about him but it would probably be unbelievable.
Relax. Whatever you do in your life, it's not going to be as bad as the guy who invented leaded gasoline. And then invented freon.
why did we even domesticate peeves

Humans-B-Gone is not the cynical sort of story you'd expect from an animated web series about a giant praying mantis running a pest control business. It's funny and educational and full of ideas about social and bioengineering inventions for kaiju society. And sad that neither humans nor macrovolutes can recognize the other as people.
