why did we even domesticate peeves
@lacroixboi @kimlockhartga Terrible idea. We should have domesticated red pandas instead.
@lacroixboi Some people have strange hobbies.
@lacroixboi isn't it obvious? People derive great joy from having pet peeves!

@lacroixboi

domesticated peeves do less damage than wild or feral peeves? :)

@paul_ipv6 @lacroixboi Clearly. Feral peeves can irk a vast multitude of people, whereas a pet peeve is limited to annoying its owner.

(Sometimes you might discover that someone shares your pet peeve, like cats that lead a double life for extra dinner at the house down the street)

@lacroixboi many anthropologists believe that its the peeves that domesticated us.
@lacroixboi the wild ones were softer, but had much sharper teeth and did not hesitate to use them
@lacroixboi A sort of 'extreme sport' pastime of the idle aristocracy.
@lacroixboi Exactly! Same way you should be able, when needed, to check a petard out from the library
@lacroixboi people will domesticate anything
@lacroixboi
Please spay and neuter your peeves
@lacroixboi they keep you warm at night
