SuperWendyAlso, it sounds like folks are back to looking at alternatives to the bird app - so if you're back, welcome. My advice, just rip off the band-aid. Mastodon isn't the bird app and it does take some getting used to, but I have yet to regret pulling the plug. I still lurk at the other app occasionally and then I always question my sanity after. At this point it's only on my phone because it's the quickest way to get updates when another Detroit Tigers pitcher gets a freak injury.

Centralised services like Twitter are incredibly easy to buy out. If you move from Twitter to another centralised service, sooner or later that will get bought out too.
