Excited to be here! I’m a recent transplant from #twitter and new to #mastodonart. I do #game #PixelArt Here’s a few of my recent-ish pieces.
@kaiserkiwi that’s so sad. Mine is a Diplodocus.

Tip for the new folk:
Often Mastodon’s features work the way they do because it was first populated by people who had been harassed on FB and the Birdsite.

For instance (not sorry), you cannot search Masto for a simple term. Only #hashtags. Say you’re having a private conversation about iguanas. Anti-iguana trolls will not be able to search for “iguanas”, find your conversation, and drop into it to say, “Iguana luvers suck!”

@revengeday @lucy I’ll have a sit in with myself after my son is asleep. ^^
@lucy @revengeday tempted to make a second account and/or switch to your instance. :D
@anwaltsgelaber aber Bounty ist doch ganz lecker. :(

#solarpunk tip of the day:

Many solar panel vendors end up with a number of panels that get cracked in shipping.

They can't sell them commercially but the panels still work, so sometimes they'll sell them for fractions of their cost! I've seen £350 panels sold for £35!

Get some optically clear epoxy to reseal the panels and they're a great choice for your inexpensive, DIY solar system!

#solarpunk tip of the day:

If you're renting and can't do any permanent installation of your panels, here's how you can non-destructively pass your cables through a window.

Take some wide nickel strip (make sure that it's rated above the maximum current of your panel or array), throw some heat-shrink tubing on it, and crimp your connectors of choice to the ends!

@fuuma @revengeday I love this approach. Nope I have to make myself a website again. Domain is already there. :)
Make the net weird again. Hand write sites like it’s the 90s. Pick interesting domain names and make fan sites or random knowledge known to everyone. Don’t monetize anything. Spearhead new protocols like Gemini. Make mods for games on your site. Make FAQs for obscure games no one knows about. Make public software services available to anyone. Make a news site about a really random subject. Create music in all kinds of different formats. Most of all, do it because you want to!
