Hezbollah was created in response to brutal Israeli aggression, ethnic cleansing and colonialism. Just like Hamas. It was never about that.

One of my favorite arguments by tankies (ie, authoritarian “communists”) is the idea that Marx’s goal of a stateless, classless society is functionally impossible, because large complex societies require coercive hierarchies to function.

They know better than Marx, in other words, while trying to ram him down everyone’s throats.
