#Winter is one of my favourite #seasons in the #garden, not only for the frozen spiderwebs, but also for the #hellebores. Indeed, hellebores are at their best from January with richly coloured flowers of white and pink and purply-black providing much needed nectar for active pollinators.
Helleborus is a baneful herb (it is poisonous) that, according to legend, formed part of European witches' famed flying ointment.
