In the interest of not always only posting positive things on social media. Got rejected from yet another grant today. To my fellow rejectees: You are not alone, your science is cool and worth doing, this is not your fault, we'll get them next time! Grab a cup of your favorite hot drink, take a breather if you need it, and keep up the good work! 🍵
While I love the social aspect of joined lunch at work, having people suddenly start talking about their love for chopped up animals stuffed into their own intestines and how it tasting good somehow justifies that really ruined my good mood and appetite today 😔

I just noticed that some 3000 people have watched this already and while that might not be much by YouTube standards it is incredible to me. The largest outreach talk I did before this was to about 80 highschool students and that already felt like a huge crowd. 3000 is just mind boggling! Very heartwarming to see this much interest in my research and cosmology!

I am a PhD student in cosmology. When not at my desk you can probably find me in the local climbing gym, cooking some vegan food, reading, playing boardgames or spending time outside doing more climbing, hiking, bike packing.
