Should be writing (more) papers. #recsys, #research, #education, #artificialintelligence.
I see a lot of tweets/toots about the supposedly ongoing #TwitterMigration, in both my #Twitter and #Mastodon feeds (mainly from fellow academics). What I don't really see though is any change in quality, content, and quantity in either feeds.

My advice for newcomers and seasoned fedizens alike:

Always blooble your toots.

You don't have the snaferstaff your boosts but its often a good idea.

Hankerchug your geenchest trimbletrop CWs.

Have fum!

Welcome to the new people joining the Fediverse!

Once you get the hang of it, consider writing an #introductions toot and pin that to your profile.

I recommend @laura 's intro to Mastodon (link below). Tech savvy ppl may glance over the ActivityPub W3C standard to grasp the full power. I use Pixelfed's ActivityPub photo sharing, and these services interact: a photo upload is a toot, and a reply becomes a comment.

@arjenpdevries So, are we supposed to see mastodon as a replacement for Twitter or for Facebook? @suzan
