@mimblewimble @NilaJones @jon That is definitively not how Vivaldi should behave. On my devices, I type in the search terms and the browser sends them to the search engine.
Maybe send in a bug report via the "share feedback" option in the settings?

@jon In the words of my mother: vivaldi is too messy out of the box.
That, together with the pain one has to go through if one wants to remove all the "big tech" style ads and disable the associated trickery, makes it really hard to recommend.
@futurebird Not to mention all the cases where opposing answers could very well be reasonable.
Would not that even be very likely to happen often? Otherwise, why is a user asking the questions in the first place?
Example: suppose I want to check whether a museum is open on a certain day, and google's "ai overview" helpfully provides an answer. How could this policy of expectations filter out an error without truly checking the source material?

@jimbob Having just cleaned up my mother's brand new samsung tablet, I was extremely impressed that samsung managed to include gemini, galaxy fi, and copilot for me to disable.
There should be a special place in the afterlife for those ceo's, where they are obliged use their own company's products as they come out of the box.
