I've wondered a few times if it's worth continuing my blog. I don't have a ton of readers; it doesn't really earn money; it's hard to tell if it helps my writing goals (as a writing portfolio, getting hired, etc); and blogging's old fashioned (everything's now about video/podcasts).
Also not sure if what I write about is interesting or useful enough for others. Reflection of my (esoteric) tastes, etc I suppose? Even with splitting off the tech and media posts as semi-separate blogs.

Six Scorched Roses by Carissa Broadbent
5/5⭐️ - Enjoyed this very much, a wonderful self-contained accompaniment to the series.
It’s rare to find a novella that feels quite as complete as this, throwing a larger amount of detail and character building than some full novels, in a mere two-hundred pages. All the while, the pacing of the book felt perfect, with the time passing between chapters feeling just right to capture the obsession of the MC without any sense of rushing things.
Bonus points for it having a super cute alternate cover under the dust jacket!

As I write this post, I am told that there are 1.2K people active on here, and yet in the last 24 hours, I have seen about as many posts here as I have on r/legendofkorra, a subreddit that has between 80 and 100 active members. And the posts there generally have more engagement.I genuinely don't understand how there can be so many people here, and they seemingly aren't doing anything at all.
