I've wondered a few times if it's worth continuing my blog. I don't have a ton of readers; it doesn't really earn money; it's hard to tell if it helps my writing goals (as a writing portfolio, getting hired, etc); and blogging's old fashioned (everything's now about video/podcasts).

Also not sure if what I write about is interesting or useful enough for others. Reflection of my (esoteric) tastes, etc I suppose? Even with splitting off the tech and media posts as semi-separate blogs.

#blogging

@dtgeek I think the key thing is whether it helps your writing goals, including both the pragmatic ones you mentioned (portfolio) and simply "is it fun". If it isn't doing those things, then yeah, call it a day - find your favorite (or best trafficed?) posts, archive the rest.

Pondering the same, TBH.

@luis_in_brief I still enjoy writing it. (Also a way to do writing about tech, since getting hired as a tech writer hasn't gone smoothly.) Just worry about if anyone actually reads it/finds it useful, I guess. 🙂
@dtgeek I say stick to it! Mostly, if you get something out of it, that is all that matters.
