How is this subreddit so dead, yet consistently has so many active members?

As I write this post, I am told that there are 1.2K people active on here, and yet in the last 24 hours, I have seen about as many posts here as I have on r/legendofkorra, a subreddit that has between 80 and 100 active members. And the posts there generally have more engagement.I genuinely don't understand how there can be so many people here, and they seemingly aren't doing anything at all. Not making posts, not commenting, certainly not reading posts. I don't get it.by syntaxGarden
