@Dangerous_beans a very beautiful potato 🥔
@Dangerous_beans i love these - the way the grain wraps around them is so pleasing 😌
Doing some crochet to contribute to a collaborative gift for a work colleague and...while I can do it, I don't think I'll ever love it. Its less rage inducing than knitting, but I have had to frog and restart this square 3 times and the border is proving particularly fiddly and annoying to complete 😣

Gender dysphoria but specifically about not being an androgynous sad waif like Kristen Stewart in the 'Love Lies Bleeding' trailer.
This is the endlessly repeating tragedy of assistive technology as a money-making industry. It's not enough that assistive tech might benefit a small group of people in very specific way - business imperatives mean that tech has to be marketed as fixing *everything* for *everybody*, in order to be predicted as viable as a profit-making enterprise. This poisons the well & means that the original limited population probably miss out on the limited (but useful!) benefit they might have derived.
Scam assistive devices are dangerous ableism. As a person with achromatopsia ('Tier 3' colourblindness in the video) I understand how misleading the claims made by colour filtering glasses companies are. I've had to have more than layman's knowledge of vision science since I was old enough to spell 'vision'. People with less severe colour vision impairments though, often don't get that kind of education & won't understand how the claims of these companies are bs https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_QQtOv2PlOE&pp=ygUIZW5jaHJvbWE%3D

You have reached a scrolling checkpoint. I give you permission to stop what you are doing, breathe, and simply enjoy how wonderful velvet worms are.

Forget about life's problems for a moment, and just look at those tiny little feet! There's still beauty in the world, and much of it is Peripatus-shaped.

Okay, off you go.

@vampiress Lord Sugar sounds like the antagonist in a Charlie & the Chocolate Factory sequel. Definitely a name that wears a silk top hat and carries a cane.
