@csilverman Every day there's a road you choose to take, and a road not taken. So it's clearly unlike software, where your choices are ACCEPT or ACCEPT LATER.

It looks like most of you prefer the Miss Marple / Father Brown life. Carry on up the vicarage, and all that. I thought Poirot might have made a better showing, though he did come in a distant second place. Not many people seem to be fans of the Stephanie Plum / Mona Lisa Vito sort of sleuthing, but my heart is warmed that Kinky Friedman's detective novels are appreciated here.

Super excited to announce my pen plotter art work will be on display in the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware during the month of May 2026! Titled "Programmable Ink: Pen Plotter Art," the show will feature works from a variety of series I've created over the past 10 years through today.

There will be an opening reception on May 1 from 5-7pm (part of Art Loop)

@DarkAthena @JasonAnthonyGuy @Denisvengeance @dgoldsmith @lisamelton What is the specific information you are trying to find out? It's worth whatever someone will pay for it. As the Reddit poster mentioned, it's "rare" in that only 20-25 were made. But was Game Sprockets a pivotal technology in the company's history? I recall that Chris De Salvo was the driving force on that team so if you can find him online, he would probably be able to tell you the story.
@JasonAnthonyGuy @Denisvengeance @dgoldsmith @DarkAthena @lisamelton Seems like you asked 3 years ago on Reddit and someone from the Game Sprockets team replied: https://www.reddit.com/r/VintageApple/comments/10vfuvl/macintosh_serious_game_hardware_apple_game_team/ . Game Sprockets was an attempt in 1996 for the Mac to be more competitive with Windows as a gaming platform. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Sprockets . As others have mentioned, teams (used to) have budget for swag like this. It would have been custom made for that team. Other teams, e.g. QuickTime, had their own jackets.
@golemwire In general, on the original Macs, the Return key inserted a carriage return (0x0D), rather than a newline (0x0A). The Enter key meant "accept" or "submit" the line, the equivalent of the "OK" button if a choice was presented.
@JasonAnthonyGuy In Terminal, you can see how many connections are in the TIME_WAIT state with this command: `netstat -an | grep -c TIME_WAIT`. If that number only increases over time and never goes back down, then you are experiencing the issue. Normally the number should return to 0 as connections are closed.
