#MapPromptMonday | Week 26 | Plants

This week I went with an obvious subject but added some South Park flair by building a map that "Tegridy Farms" might make of Michigan showing the concentration of recreational cannabis establishments. I thought it made a really fun theme for a map. #QGIS #gischat #southpark

@jcarlson My school had lessons that involved a lot of finding answers from the Great Helpdesk in the Sky (Google) which in turn made us all better professionals, though we didn't think that at the time.

Made a map of my hometown (Lincoln Park , MI), using 1949 imagery, resampled to 20ft pixels, converted to points, and made to look like it was rendered with a GameBoy. It was fun to create. #qgis #mappromptmonday #gameboy

This collage contains all of the maps that I made during the #30DayMapChallenge. All but three of the maps were created in #QGIS. I even tried #rstats to make one of the maps. Overall the challenge was a lot of fun and really gave me that creative boost that I have been missing for a long time.

@jcarlson I'm still working on getting my 10.9.1 installation "completed". It runs fine within our intranet but I can't get the security to work through the reverse proxy. I'll eventually get it I hope.

@jcarlson Thanks! I had no idea that the plugin existed either until this afternoon while looking through some of today's map posts. I figured that I would give it try and see what happens.

Day 19 - #30DayMapChallenge - Globe

Added the #globebuilder plugin for #QGIS and threw together this ultra simple globe map. The old MacBook Pro has come through again.
