Dominic Rivron@WriterLP Slow. I take my time and feel no pressure to get to the end in a hurry. My goal, usually, is to learn from my reading about how to write prose, rather than finishing the book. I read a few at a time, too. Sometimes to myself, sometimes out loud.
I read 2 books during the first 5 days of January and now I'm back to taking several weeks to finish a book. I don't know what happened during Jan 1st and 5th but it gave me a taste of what those hardcore "reading goal" people must do. Weirdly I don't feel I retained as much from those first 2 books... they feel less solid in my head. I think I need that slow reading to digest my books. Are you a fast or slow reader?
