Living room #disco before a night of #self-care. I've done the dishes and some laundry, #dancing and #singing. I've made cookie dough and will shortly be making exceedingly chocolatey caramel cookies for one of my Y8 classes. I have been writing a non-fiction piece on being post-menopausal. I'm also working on a horror short that's been scratching away at my brain to be committed to paper. Longhand writing with me posh pencils and paper tonight for the fiction. I'm posting this for #CheesebeesPhotoChallenge2026Week8 today as it affords me the opportunity to have a whinge about my workplace. Someone from the site team came into my classroom today to fix a broken cupboard. I happened to be there and asked if I could have a new battery for my clock, which is high up and we are not permitted to perform this task. Sure thing, he said. I went off to teach in a different room.
When I returned at lunchtime a new battery had been put in the clock. This was at 12.46. Please note the #time on the #clock.

Too tired to make it outdoors today for more street photos. I've been lazing at home after a late night. I'm going back a few days here to a quick snap of someone I spoke with on the first night of #CheesebeesPhotoChallenge2026Week6 for #street. We talked about people using real cameras and urban decay, even in small towns like this one in Lincolnshire. He doesn't use social media, so did not want a photo with his face in it, but agreed to one showing him heading home from an evening dog walk.
