@danieldurrans bring it back up, immediately!
@danieldurrans @n0rm it was originally for commercial purposes and flash is prohibited. Changes occurred to require a permit for all photography but it’s pretty much impossible to enforce.
@n0rm @danieldurrans one needs a special permit to photograph on the London Tube.
@tryst @bloor @ret G-call here…licensed in 1993 and spent quite a while before that as a commercial operator, then quite a while after that designing and building EW-related kit.
I have never and still don’t have any issues with people younger/newer than me knowing more about stuff than I do, largely because I have a good understanding of my own limitations and am professional and friendly enough to want to learn from others.
Not all G-call holders are nobs.
@bloor interesting way to present a Fourier transform but hey!
@bloor ooh, that’s interesting.
@bloor that is quite, quite unpleasant. What exactly are they trying to show with this?
@mw1cgg it’s not worth it.
@glaist @isleofmandan absolutely. When you get good you could sing a bit of CW or, if you’re really good some FT8.
@isleofmandan @glaist you could combine the two…
