@aaron I can relate to this. I studied a bunch of electroacoustic music composition at uni, and the “what is noise” question has at least as many subjective and contradictory answers as “what is music”.
@lofenyy @ifixcoinops Yeah, one of the (many) reasons I don’t use music streaming services is that they always have the grottiest, nastiest loudness war blighted remasters of older albums on there. In my experience, CD masters from the 80s/90s are always superior.
@Mikewashere Labour had an HMRC funding boost and a tax increase targeting private equity bosses in the manifesto, so here’s hoping. It’s not enough, but it’s a start. HMRC funding specifically is significant because the Tories gutted the departments dealing with complex tax fraud (ie rich people crime) to the point it no longer gets investigated in most cases, and it will take a while to rebuild the lost institutional knowledge.

I did a deep dive into USB C hubs a while back and found most of them pretty disappointing. You might want to consider getting a separate KVM switch for your hub if you can’t find what you’re looking for. Best to look for a combo that’s already confirmed working since these things can be moody as hell.

@SwiftOnSecurity I’d tell them the billionaire class and megacorps are the villain. Individuals cannot fix systems and therefore it’s meaningless to blame them. It’s just guilt aesthetics and nothing else.
