Just an armchair chieftain trying to make sense of world politics and conflicts. 100% pro-Ukraine, 100% pro-democracy.

Born and raised in Sweden. Exported to Canada. Lived about half my life in Canada. I love both countries.

The profile picture is a replica of a Viking helmet. And no, the Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets. That was introduced in Wagner's opera The Ring of the Nibelung.

The header picture is of the Viking castle in Trelleborg, Sweden. It's also called Trelleborgen.

Trump team pushes media to tell Iran war story the White House's way

President Donald Trump and his team are increasing the pressure on journalists to cover the war in the Middle East the way the administration wants. The Republican president has complained on social media about stories he doesn't like and berated a reporter on Air Force One over the weekend. The government's top media regulator warned broadcasters risk losing their licenses to operate if they don't stay away from “fake news.” Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have questioned the patriotism of some news outlets because of their reports. Antagonism between presidential administrations and the press isn't unusual, but Trump's team has shown a hostility toward the very idea of being questioned.

Countries around the globe are rejecting Trump's "demand" in helping to resolve the crisis he fabricated in the Strait in Hormuz. Whether it is Europe, Asia, Australia or elsewhere, the rejection is almost unanimous.

However, there was one country which not only offered help right from the beginning, but also actually has sent help. It has been Ukraine. And this is how Trump responded:

"The last person we need help from is Zelenskyy!"
