Morning Masto folks. A question:
I didn't realise that when I changed instances, I'd lose all my toots. Is there a way I can get them back/reboost them?

I'm really happy to see Vito in the final (and I do like Fleur) but Will had more of a chance of winning if he got to the final than Fleur.
Ah bless Nancy. Really sad to see the end of these two. But they were the weaker couple this week.
Classic tv news - Manchester airport cancelled loads of flights over the last couple of days because of the weather, hardly mentioned. Now that it's affecting the South - well! The world's ending! 🙄
I'm just glad my brother eventually got home safe from New York, even if it did involved horrendous cancellations, delays, lost baggage and an enforced detour via Sweden, where, incidentally, they managed landings despite the several inches of snow.
Had a bit of a tough week mentally. Chester was a welcome/necessary distraction, but glad to see the back of a pretty testing 7 days.
Bring on a new week. Might even get round to putting the tree up 🎄
The sun always rises again tomorrow, even as the thick of winter sets in.

Love this quote, which I’m feeling more keenly than ever:
“Now in the midst of climate emergency, it’s even more imperative that artists act as early warning systems, positioning themselves as the canaries in the coalmine. Through our work, we need to imagine the dystopian reality of where the earth is heading and to work with activists struggling to find another way.” ~ Peter Kennard, Visual Dissent

Just back from the #CumbrianCoalMine protest in #Whitehaven. Spoke to many folk and discovered there’s more common ground than we might think.
I’m sure some cracks have been healed today between those for and against the coalmine — not least as locals seem to want *jobs* more than the coalmine itself.
All-in-all, empowering and thought-provoking.
I’ve made sound recordings too, which I’ll share soon…stay tuned!
