I don't think truer words could be spoken about the current state of the world we live in.

In the coming days, we will most likely see the repeat of battles already won, the dehumanizing of communities, the attacks on the freedoms that our ancestors fought hard for.

The quote maybe from a piece of fiction, but a piece of fiction that definitely draws parallels to our own history.

Fascism is an insidious and sinister creature that lurks in the shadows, slinks quietly throughout the night. When we are blind to it through fear or anger, accepting of it through apathy or ambivalence, it seeps into our lives and when we wake up to it, it's usually too late.

Don't get caught asleep, don't let it take hold. Stand up and fight for what all humanity deserves, fight to keep alive what our ancestors fought for twice.

When you see injustice, call it out. When you see inaction, protect those who can’t protect themselves.
