When a Z80 meets a radio, a magical thing happens....and it reeks of nostalgia.

My Yaesu FT-817nd couldn't work a dummy load... I think it's time for another radio for HF field work... Thinking maybe I should buy and build a QRP Labs QMX+? ... I was really quite impressed with the QDX kit I slapped together from them some years back.

The uConsole is cool and all, but always fully test peripherals after a kernel update, this is the second time I've been screwed by this. I took it to do some FT8 and no es bueno cause the recent update apparently broke the mixer on the USB Codec driver my digilink uses. TX audio was too low and couldnt increase it cause the new bug....*golfclap*. Gonna start using my Thinkpad Carbon instead for this silliness going forward.
