Singleton Park: A Single Organism

The great oaks are the legs of elephants, vast and wrinkled, shouldering the canopy with unhurried strength. Beneath them, clumps of daffodils become nervous flocks of geese, their yellow heads dip…

The Christmas Story

Owain Pritchett struck a match, and the crumpled newspaper beneath the coal caught, flames curling over the black diamonds. A dented tin pan of chestnuts waited beside him; he hadn’t roasted any in…

“Ti’n newid dim, nag wyt?” Iestyn laughed, a sentence which Deian caught between both hands, perfectly. He was right. Some people never changed.

Something a friend said on another thread inspired this story. It's an experiment in polyphony, a narrative form that constantly switches POV.
Let me know if you like it.

My latest short story on Medium. Well, it’s more of a novelette, really. Or at least, half of one. It is part of the first third of my WIP, “B.E.A.U.T.”, which is a parody SciFi story about a secret agency in an alternative Earth, Britain, which is tasked with uncovering and dealing with unexplained technology.

If Kirk's killer turns out to be a radical leftist, then colour me surprised. While I acknowledge that some on the left see violence as a solution, they are few. This is more likely to be a MAGA factionalist or a personal issue. Whatever, CK preached hate, and that usually engenders hate back again. I won't celebrate his death, but I'll reserve my tears for the deserving. #charliekirk
