My main activity this weekend will be watching to see if Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lee topples the tree a crew showed up and planted in front of my house less than 24 hours ago for some damn reason.
My kid's school is doing a thing to raise money. You put coins and bills into jars, with point values enumerated for the various denominations. You can also put "silver[-colored] coins" into other classes' jars for negative points.
penny = 1pt
$1 = 100pt
$5 = 500pt
$10 = 1000pt
$20 = 2000pt
nickel = -5pt
dime = -10pt
quarter = -25pt
Neat idea.
But, as an agent of chaos, my mind immediately goes to dollar coins, half-dollar coins, and $2 (among others) bills -- and then to foreign currency.
